Another fishy story

During the commission of Sushi, the pet fish that got an X-ray, I received a second commission for a fish skeleton - and this one also has an extraordinary story. Meet Pablo, named after Pablo Escobar.

Pablo is a red-bellied piranha that was rescued from a dismantled drug cartel. It sure makes you wonder what it has been fed if the drug lord wasn't happy with someone... Sadly Pablo stayed behind in the abandoned tank after the dismantling for approximately 3 months all alone with no heater. Hunger does make piranhas more aggressive. To the point of cannibalism. So there might be a chance that he had to eat others whom he shared the tank with to survive. He was rescued and thrived on his new diet of, among other things, mussels. He incurred from a bad case of branchiomycosis before his rescue which, even though being treated for it, eventually led to his death. Pablo for sure was a fighter.
