Please take in consideration that we are not responsible for seizes at customs or damage to items. Please read our policies.

 

How will my item be shipped?

  • Your item will be carefully packed and shipped by the Dutch postal service PostNL. You will receive a tracking number so you will be able to track your order. We try to ship your order in 1-3 workdays.

 

Which countries do we ship to?

  • Dermestid beetles are shipped to all countries within the European Union.

  • Shipping outside the EU is only in consultation.

–  Buying multiple items –

  • If you purchase multiple specimens we will do our best to safely fit them into one package. If the order has to be split up in multiple packages to ensure safe arrival of the purchased items, or if the package is over the weight limit (2 kg outside of the Netherlands) we will send you an additional invoice for the extra shipping costs.

 

How long does it usually take for an order to arrive?

  • Shipping within the Netherlands packages usually take 1-2 business days to arrive.  Shipping to countries within Europe can take between 3 to 10 business days, but sometimes it takes a longer. Shipping to the rest of the world can take up to 3 weeks or more. It  also can take longer when a packages are hold up in customs. 

  • Packages will be offerend at your shipping adress 1 or 2 times or will be delivered at the local post office. Packages that are not collected are normally shipped back to us. If we need to resend it, you need to pay again for the shipping costs. Please keep in mind when packages are send retour that it will take a long time for the delivery. Please look at your tracking number and follow your package and make sure you claim it in time.

  • Buying live beetles is at your own risk. We try our best to package the beetles in scuh way that most survive the journay without troubles, but we can't guarantee that they arrive alive.

 

– Laws regarding dermestid beetles –

  • Make sure you check the laws regarding the import of live animals (insects) of your own country before purchasing items from our shop. These laws do differ between countries and states. When you commit to buy anything from our site you agree on being responsible for importing the product. We are not responsible for packages that are seized at the customs.

  • No dermestid beetles species is listed as CITES. There are no obstructions in shipping to countries that handle the CITES laws.

 

– Tax –

  • Some countries may charge an importing tax and or custom charges, These costs are for the customer. 

 

– Damaged items and returns –

  • If your item doesn’t arrive or arrives damaged please contact us as soon as possible so we can resolve the problem. Take in account that shipping is at your own risk. We pack our orders with the greatest care but we do not have influence how post services handle packages. Nor does the postal service return money when it comes to ‘animal products’. We ship with tracking so that in case a packages goes missing, the postal service will set up an investigation to locate the lost package. 

  • Please think it through before buying your dermestid beetles. We won't give a (partial) refund when specimens are shipped back without a mistake on our part (e.g. sending the wrong species), because returning te beetles would significantly increase the risk of them dying due the extra time being in transit. Our refund and returns policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have passed since your purchase, we can not offer you a full refund or exchange.

 

Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
 
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.
 
Shipping returns
For returns please contact us. You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for tracked shipping with insurance returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund. We do not guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
